Juicebox has launched an exclusive internship program with Curtin University to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit of the next generation.
Through long-standing partnerships with Curtin Women in Business, the School of Design and Built Environment, and School of Management and Marketing, we have offered five internships to date, with four places available annually exclusively to Curtin students. The program creates genuine exposure to agency life.
“You cannot underestimate the value of internships in preparing students as they transition into their professional careers. For many, it can feel like stepping into the unknown. Internships help bridge that gap. But none of that is possible without firms like Juicebox who are willing to invest the time and resources to run a programme like this. As a University, we are really grateful for this partnership and the value it provides to our students,” said Dr Wesley Lim, Senior Lecturer, School of Management and Marketing, Curtin University.
Each 120-hour internship is tailored to the student's focus areas, study commitments, and schedule. Shortlisted by Curtin contacts, candidates are selected for their proactivity, entrepreneurial energy, and passion. Interns work across creative, design, account management, and marketing disciplines, observing how ideas are shaped collaboratively in real projects.
"Juicebox offers our students an amazing opportunity to gain insights into how an agency operates and where they as a designer fit in the team. It helps to take what they learn with us and see its application in a real world environment. The generosity of the team at Juicebox in mentoring our students is invaluable," said Stephanie Hampson, Graphic Design Major Coordinator, School of Design and the Built Environment.
The program is designed purely for learning and legacy. Interns receive a reference, experience, and practical insights into navigating complexity.
"This is our way of giving back to an industry we love," said Ivona Gaspar, Operations Director at Juicebox. "In the intelligence age, the most valuable talent is proactive, adaptable, and independent-minded. We're creating space for Curtin students to build that confidence by doing real work alongside our teams."
The timing of the program launch aligns perfectly with industry conversations about talent development. Dr Wesley Lim will be joining the next IN:WA Panel at the end of April, discussing "Are we doing enough to develop the next generation of talent?".
