Since 2021, Juicebox has proudly partnered with Linear, a leading Australian life-science organisation at the forefront of clinical trials and medical research. Our collaboration has maintained a sharp focus: evolving the Linear brand to strategically underpin their ambitious growth plans.
The central objective of this evolution was to realign Linear's core purpose and positioning, forging stronger connections with their key audiences and stakeholders. This was achieved through a strategic three-phase approach. Firstly, we delivered a revitalised brand identity, providing Linear with refined guidelines and a new design system. Secondly, we introduced the impactful ‘Human Breakthroughs’ tagline, thoughtfully considered to position Linear at the vital intersection of scientific discovery and human health. Thirdly, we created a consolidated digital presence, streamlining Linear's online experience into a unified website structure.
These efforts have delivered transformative outcomes for the organisation. Linear now benefits from a sharper, more impactful positioning and an enhanced user experience for all stakeholders. This is coupled with improved brand representation and communication that accurately reflects their world-class research and reinforces their market leadership.
Project Objective
The primary goal was to consolidate their corporate and clinical trials websites into a cohesive digital platform. This would empower key stakeholders and target audiences to understand Linear’s mission and services more clearly, whether they were individuals seeking to participate in trials, world-leading pharmaceutical companies seeking to test new products, or research partners supporting vital medical advancements.
As part of this exciting transformation, Linear’s brand identity and guidelines were elevated to match the exceptional quality of their work in Australia's life sciences sector. The introduction of the ‘Human Breakthroughs’ statement played a pivotal role in guiding the experience design, ensuring that the brand narrative was woven seamlessly throughout the content, features, and functionality.
The project aimed to ensure continuity and enhance support of Linear’s operations, optimise website performance to exceed Core Web Vitals standards, and create an accessible, enjoyable platform for users. Our brand-led, human-centered approach ensures that the website not only reflects Linear’s expertise and credibility but also provides a seamless and engaging journey for target users, fostering trust and a strong sense of connection.
Marketing Approach
Juicebox developed a strategic marketing strategy focused on amplifying and reinforcing their revitalised brand positioning, while sustaining strong levels of healthy volunteer sign-ups.
The marketing goal was to increase reach and engagement with key stakeholders and audience groups, ensuring the mission was clear and resonated deeply with patients, researchers, and collaborators across relevant channels.
By simplifying the navigation and the information architecture of the website, as well as ensuring the platform excelled in accessibility standards, we enabled Linear to connect and communicate with users more easily.
The Challenge
This project tackled several key challenges, including uniting the corporate and clinical trials websites to streamline the user experience and make it easier for multiple user types to engage seamlessly with all of Linear’s corporate information, capabilities and service offerings.
Furthermore, we undertook an extensive and meticulous review of years of legacy content and resources, ensuring that we maintained strong search engine rankings during migration, while also significantly improving clarity and utility of the website for key user groups.
To maintain the momentum of Linear's vital research, it was crucial to preserve the functionality of core backend systems, including lead submissions and participant tracking tools. Our approach delivered an enhanced user experience with intuitive admin tools, empowering Linear with effortless participant management and streamlined operations.
Technical Direction
Juicebox delivered the seamless integration of Linear’s websites into a unified platform, ensuring minimal disruption to critical backend systems. This involved the implementation of a dynamic and intuitive FAQ system and a significantly improved clinical trial search tool to enhance the user experience.
Our approach also included robust SEO strategies and performance optimisations to achieve strong search rankings and exceed Core Web Vitals standards. Throughout this process, we prioritised accessibility and adaptability to create an inclusive and future-proof digital solution.
