Why did they engage us?

The federal National Disability Insurance Scheme was changing. With clients no longer being allocated service providers and instead being individually allocated funds, they now had to choose who to engage with.

Autism WA believed their digital communications strategy needed an overhaul as it no longer represented who they were or the quality of service they provided.

Achieving a strong user experience

Our task was to ensure that potential customers saw Autism WA as they were; a highly professional, friendly and capable option for their needs.

In addition to the Autism WA website, the project involved the creation of the AutismApps website; a place dedicated to promoting useful mobile applications which aid in educational learning for those with autism.

With accessibility in mind, we crafted multiple wireframes of all of the pages to ensure it was clear where everything would be and how it would work before proceeding with the design.

Quick access to primary sections and popular pages was paramount. So we devised a solution on the homepage which groups content based on user intent, supported by relevant iconography and colour.

All website features were developed with simplicity and accessibility in mind. One such example is the ability to search the site by voice.

The new Autism WA website operates as their online business. It contains a raft of features which support their administration team. All training courses are managed through the website, user memberships, an online store to sell publications and merchandise, donations with credit card payments, lead generation through dedicated service pages and more.
