Juicebox is proud to help shape the next generation of marketing wunderkinds at this weekend’s BrandCamp, a special UWA hackathon for all students looking to gain real-world marketing experience.

Students from across all faculties will be teaming up with grassroots local charities to help solve their brand and marketing challenges. To kick off this year’s hackathon, eight charities will convey their goals to the group; students will then have 48 hours to produce a creative solution that meets the brief, supported by workshops and mentoring from the Juicebox team.

We’re excited to see what brilliant ideas emerge from these two action-packed days and to offer our hard-fought wisdom on how to create brand building experiences.

In preparing for the event, we’ve developed a series of workshops covering strategic planning, branding, creative ideation, experience design, web technology, digital marketing and everything in between. The final output from each student/charity squad will be presented to a panel of Juicebox judges, with the winners earning a cash prize for their charity of choice.

The charities putting forward their hackathon challenges this year include:

  • Little Things for Tiny Tots
  • Urban Bushland Council WA Inc
  • Metropolitan Migrant Resources Centre
  • Teddy Bear Hospital
  • Friends of Mosman Park Bushland
  • Westcare Inc
  • HorsePower Australia
  • Tangaroa Blue Foundation

It’s an honour to be able to pass along industry knowledge and work alongside others motivated by creating more good in the world. We’re thrilled at the opportunity to help foster creativity in and outside the classroom, and for the chance to support the local not-for-profit sector which has struggled more than usual in the last few years.

We’d also like to offer a special thanks to UWA and St Catherine’s College for hosting us across the weekend.
